US Naval Air Command Center Rickenbacker Air Base
An articulated beam clamp was recently used for pipe supports at Rickenbacker Air Base in Columbus Ohio.
The articulated beam clamp provides the capability to connect threaded rod to supporting vertical steelwork even though the steel may be inclined or canted at various angles. Its pivot unit allows the threaded rod to rotate or articulate, without the need to bend the rod itself - increasing the safety of services installation.
An additional benefit was that after all the pipe was installed, other trades could easily move or adjust the pipes to allow easy access to other areas of the roof structure.
Manufactured from high grade alloy steel, the articulated beam clamp offers guaranteed safe working load capabilities of up to 550 lbs. Combined with a 4:1 factor of safety, and can provide specifiers and users with the assurance of a superior performance; it is also corrosion resistant, being electro-zinc plated, and is the only product of its kind to meet the stringent performance criteria required for Factory Mutual approval
