Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Maintenance Walkway

Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Maintenance Walkway

In the beginning of 2008, LNA Solutions provided a solution for Archer Western to attach standard galvanized bar grating for a maintenance walkway along a light rail extension at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, GA.

This was a design/build project to construct approximately 1.5 miles of light rail track along with 3 new stations for the Hartsfield-Jackson airport and surrounding area. At each station, grating was used for the maintenance walkways. Grating fasteners were used to secure the grating for ease of installation, the one sided accessibility, and its excellent performance in a vibratory environment such as adjacent to a light rail track.

By using the Grating fasteners, Archer Western eliminated the need to drill and tap into the supporting steel while still capturing a fastening system where only top side access was needed.
