Cargill Corn Starch Facility

Cargill Corn Starch Facility

This city sized, facility, located in Hammond, Indiana, produces corn starch. As with many agricultural businesses, grain dust is a primary safety concern. If sufficient care is not exercised, catastrophic grain dust explosions can be the result. This large production plant needed to increase capacity to a monorail. To achieve the desired result in a safe, cost effective manner, structural steel connections were supplied by LNA Solutions. The dry powder packaging location, wherein the monorail is located, has elevated hot work risk. Due to the high level of dust, drilling and welding were out of the question.

LNA Solutions was selected as the preferred method to make the secondary connections to the primary building structure. LNA Solutions offers many innovative solutions to structural steel connection issues to make your next project fast, easy and profitable.
