Atlantic Cape Community College
Structural engineers at Orndorf Socket & Associates were designing the new Atlantic Cape Community College in Cape May County, New Jersey. The primary structure was HSS columns to which they wanted to attach HSS headers. The complex design required attaching multiple headers to 3 sides of the columns at the same elevation.
Cavity Connectors were an ideal solution, providing easy installation and considerable labor savings. The 3/4 in. Cavity Connectors is a method of connecting square, rectangular or circular structural tube to conventional steel where access is available from one side only. It reduces installation time over traditional connection methods such as welding, site drilling, tapping holes or strapping.
